1. What do you have to pay particular attention to when making free entries in business directories?
First of all, it is important that all the information you provide about the address, telephone number, etc., is, as far as possible, identical in all business directories. That may sound trivial at first, but slight variations can quickly occur in the street name, telephone number, or URL.
For example, you might use Main St. or Main Street, list the phone number with the country code +1 or without it (e.g.,+1 212-555-1234 vs. (212) 555-1234), or write it with or without hyphens (212-555-1234 vs. 2125551234), etc.
Basically, my tip here is to use the Google My Business listing as a reference. You should create this first and then align other listings with it as closely as possible.
